Data Analyst

Matlen Silver is seeking a Data Analyst to help translate complex data into strategic insights within its Charlotte, NC onsite environment. The role centers on end-to-end data analysis to inform business strategy and improve operational performance, encompassing governance, data management, and cross-functional analytics across multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end data analysis on business strategy and function, including trending analysis, data treatments, and success analytics to shape future strategy aimed at improving operational performance.
• Perform data mining, data aggregation, and business planning across areas such as inventory analysis, program analysis, and end-to-end platform and performance/milestone analytics.
• Set policy and standards for Data Management and operate routing governance to align enterprise priorities with compliance to standards.
• Track compliance to implement standards for the prioritized functions and monitor data quality controls for validity.
• Escalate risk associated with non-compliance to standards with clear options for resolution and act as a source of expertise grounded in current industry best practices.
• Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements for data collection and presentation in automated scorecards.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand data requirements and ensure the data architecture is feasible to implement and subsequently implemented accurately.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional requirements, and use processes supporting data transformation, metadata, data quality controls, dependency and workload management.
• Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, and performance), analyze test reports, triage issues, and identify root causes.
• Collaborate with Project Management to document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality; adhere to the team delivery and release cadence for metric aggregation and executive presentation.
• Identify gaps in data management standards adherence and work with appropriate partners to develop plans to close those gaps.
• Lead concept and experimentation testing and synthesize results to validate and improve analytical solutions.
• Monitor key performance indicators and internal controls; experience with basic AI tools such as GitHub Copilot is a strong plus.
