Data Analyst
Job Description
Support federal government reporting needs at Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
- Job type: Contract
- Location: Idaho Falls, ID (onsite, in person)
- Salary: $70,000 - $150,000 per year
- Experience: 4+ years (contract role)
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required
Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, clean, and analyze business data
- Build and maintain Excel spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards
- Use SQL to query, extract, and analyze data from databases
- Produce recurring and ad-hoc reports for management
- Spot trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities within company data
- Combine data from multiple sources into clear, usable reports
- Improve existing spreadsheets and reporting processes
- Automate repetitive reporting and data-processing tasks where possible
- Verify data accuracy and troubleshoot discrepancies
- Partner with management and other departments to understand reporting and data needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics
- Or Bachelor’s degree in science or mathematics plus at least 4 years of applicable data analytics experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills
- Experience writing and working with SQL queries
- Comfort working with large datasets
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to organize and interpret data
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
