Data Analyst
Job Description
Support data-driven decision-making at Grossman Young & Hammond LLC by combining analysis, Power BI reporting, and workflow automation.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and operational improvement opportunities
- Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
- Gather stakeholder requirements and translate business needs into practical reporting solutions
- Extract and integrate data from systems, databases, APIs, and linked data sources to improve reporting accuracy
- Convert analysis results into clear, actionable recommendations for users and leadership
- Develop tools, scripts, and workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps to automate data processing and create interactive forms
- Improve reporting assets, dashboards, systems, and processes to increase efficiency, scalability, and usability
- Ensure data capture is accurate and consistent in line with cybersecurity, privacy, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Participate in risk, change, and configuration management activities
- Maintain system documentation, procedures, and user guides
- Act as a technical lead and liaison with the firm’s managed IT service provider
- Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to support firm initiatives and maintain reliable systems
- Provide technical and data-related guidance to users and leadership
- Provide backup to the Billing and Accounting Manager as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience creating Power BI dashboards and reports, using Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps
- Proficiency in Power BI, including data visualization, dashboard development, and reporting
- Proficiency in Power Automate for workflow customization and Power Apps for streamlined data collection
- Strong Excel data analysis skills
- Knowledge of database design, data structures, data models, and data workflows
- Working knowledge of operating systems, networks, databases, and enterprise applications
- Ability to interpret business requirements and policies and translate them into technical and data-driven solutions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences
- Detail-oriented with disciplined documentation practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively

Compensation
- Salary range: USD 65,000 - 75,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Work Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Hybrid: if located within a fifty-mile radius of the office, work is completed in the office one day per week
