Data Analyst, Communications Measurement
Job Description
Meta is looking for a Data Analyst, Communications Measurement, to build and scale the systems that power press monitoring and communications measurement. This onsite role in Los Angeles, CA focuses on delivering reliable data infrastructure, user-facing dashboards, and AI-driven classification and reporting so Comms teams can monitor coverage and translate signals into insights.
The work spans end-to-end ownership of the measurement stack, from back-end pipelines and integrations to front-end tooling, production debugging, and data quality management. You will also partner with Data Engineering teams to improve measurement methodologies and strengthen AI performance as monitoring expands globally.
What you’ll do
- Own and continuously evolve the technical infrastructure behind press measurement
- Design, build, and maintain front-end dashboards and interfaces for real-time media coverage monitoring, campaign tracking, and insight surfacing for Comms teams
- Develop and maintain back-end data pipelines and integrations that support accuracy, reliability, and scalability as global monitoring grows
- Build and improve AI-driven capabilities including classification, relevance scoring, and automated reporting
- Implement human-in-the-loop QA to keep AI outputs trustworthy and support quality assurance processes
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineering to iterate on measurement methodologies, improve AI performance, and expand platform capabilities
- Debug production systems, respond to data quality incidents, and ensure reporting continuity for Communications stakeholders
- Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual overhead and improve efficiency through new tooling and AI integration
- Contribute to the team’s long-term technical strategy as internal technical capabilities expand
Minimum requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data science, analytics engineering, or a related technical field with hands-on development work
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and data analysis languages such as Python, SQL, and R
- Proven ability to work across the stack, including pipeline reliability and user-facing interfaces and reporting
- Experience using AI/ML models in production workflows, including text classification, NLP, and relevance scoring
- Ability to communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders using written summaries, presentations, and documentation
