Job Description

The Brite Group is seeking a Data Analyst/Data Engineer to support DoD stakeholders with analysis of military, governmental, and business operations. The role focuses on producing data-driven insights to inform decision-making and support policy and resource allocation, with an active Top Secret clearance required.

Location and Work Arrangement

  • Location: Alexandria, VA (Mark Center)
  • Onsite requirement: 5 days onsite
  • Commute area: Alexandria, VA 22350
  • Work location: In person

Salary

USD 85,000 - 100,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze military, governmental, or business operations and deliver data-driven insights for decisions related to policy and resource allocation.
  • Support DoD stakeholders in collecting, maintaining, and refining complex datasets.
  • Extract datasets from multiple data sources using SQL and/or Python.
  • Work with ETL tools to handle and manage large, complex datasets.
  • Utilize Microsoft Access and apply advanced Excel skills.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a strong data analyst, including experience related to military operations research and areas such as deployment readiness and financial data.
  • Familiarity with Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE).
  • Experience working with Microsoft Access and advanced Excel.
  • Strong experience extracting datasets from a variety of sources using SQL and/or Python.
  • Some experience with ETL tools and working with large datasets.
  • 2-3 years of experience supporting DoD stakeholders to collect, maintain, and refine complex datasets.
  • Proven expertise in Structured Query Language (SQL) and interfacing with clients.
  • Direct experience with ETL/ELT tools and managing large, complex datasets.
  • Active Top Secret clearance (or higher) required.
