Data Analyst, Level I
Job Description
The University of Arizona is hiring a Data Analyst, Level I for a full-time, remote position. In this role, you will report to the Director of Institutional Research and provide data support through validation, analysis, data mining, and preparation of submissions to external sources. You will also develop reporting and visualizations that help inform decision-making across the institution.
What you’ll do
- Carry out data management tasks including validating and cleaning data, with attention to accuracy and data integrity relative to defined requirements.
- Perform analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, providing analytical support to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Academics, Student Affairs, and the broader institution.
- Support the production of high-quality reports that align with recognized best practices in academics, data visualization, and data science.
- Prepare data visualizations and reports to present findings from analyses and results.

- Ability to communicate effectively with different groups and individuals.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience is required.
- 1 year of relevant work experience may be required.
- Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, SQL, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Preferred: Experience with CampusVue and Anthology.
