Based in Seattle, onsite position at Amazon.com Services LLC, the Data Engineer will support PXBI's core data platforms by deploying AWS services to construct data pipelines, improve data accuracy, reduce latency, and ensure compliance. You will collaborate with senior engineers to advance Slate Analytics and deliver intra-day data powering Prime Video analytics for its partners.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices
• Leverage AWS data processing services to build and operate pipelines
• Apply broad knowledge of data types to select appropriate storage and processing approaches
• Ensure data security and compliance with company policies and regulations
• Use GenAI to boost efficiency and accelerate delivery
• Develop design documents to propose robust data processing and handling solutions
• Collaborate with peers to discuss proposed solutions
• Present designs to product managers, senior management, and Senior SDEs to gather feedback
• Build data infrastructure and pipelines using AWS services
• Productionalize solutions into products used by Prime Video partners worldwide
• Maintain and improve existing data infrastructure
• Design scalable data infrastructure to deliver intra-day data powering Slate Analytics
• Work with large datasets in a major data lake and data warehouse environment
• Ingest data from diverse sources and process large volumes

Requirements

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
