Data Engineer

Data Engineer role in Orlando, FL onsite, focused on collecting, storing, processing, analyzing, and modeling large datasets to power data-driven applications and scalable analytics across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain stable, secure, and scalable data engineering solutions and pipelines, including integrating new sources into the central data warehouse and moving data out to applications and affiliates.
• Maintain, monitor, and optimize analytics data warehouses and the overall data platform.
• Provide hands on development, deployment, maintenance, and support for a mix of cloud and on premise solutions, web service infrastructures, and supporting technologies.
• Produce scalable, replicable code and engineering solutions to automate repetitive data management tasks.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, data scientists, and key stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure data infrastructure meets business needs.
• Continuously evaluate the technical strategy, identify performance gaps, and design creative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science required; master's degree preferred.
• Snowflake and Python certifications are highly preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills; exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail, systemic thinking, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• 3+ years of related data engineering or IT experience.
• Proven experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, Java/Scala, Python, and AWS architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies (C#, VB.Net) and designing, developing, and deploying Windows and Web applications.
• Experience in data modeling and database development using PL/SQL, SQL Server (2016 or later), and Snowflake; strong working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Proven experience building data pipelines, APIs, and ETL flows in cloud and on premise environments using tools like Snowpipe, Informatica, Airflow, and Kafka.
• Track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected, or unstructured datasets, with the ability to perform root cause analysis on data processes to identify business opportunities.
