Data Engineer
Job Description
Data Engineer role supporting business intelligence through data pipeline maintenance and enterprise data management.
Responsibilities
- Assist business units with gathering and documenting functional requirements for BI and reporting
- Translate business requirements into technical tasks, standardized reporting metrics, and user stories
- Build, test, and maintain routine ETL/ELT pipelines moving data from SaaS platforms and internal systems into central data stores
- Provide routine administration and maintenance for Snowflake data warehouse environments, including query performance monitoring, basic user role management, and table organization
- Run data quality checks, update data catalogs, and support data stewardship and lineage practices
- Create SOPs and documentation for BI reporting assets, data workflows, and user guidelines
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure and application development teams during system integration testing and updates
- Monitor regular SaaS data syncs (including Salesforce, CRMA, and ERP systems) and help troubleshoot basic data flow exceptions
- Support business process mapping to capture workflow details for data optimization initiatives
- Participate as a technical support team member on cross-functional BI, reporting, and data management projects
- Prepare materials and support data governance alignment meeting updates
- Provide basic reporting guidance and functional support for end-users using standardized BI tools and dashboards
- Maintain confidentiality of all information processed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in business intelligence support, junior data engineering, data analysis, or a related technical role
- Hands-on experience writing SQL and working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake
- Basic experience with cloud application data (e.g., Salesforce, CRMA) and modern BI visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Basic understanding of project task tracking, process flow mapping, and analytical documentation

Work Environment
- Hybrid work schedule based out of the office in Blue Springs, Missouri
- General office work; employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk, hear, see, and use hands
Compensation
- Pay range: $90,686 - $113,358 per year
- May increase based on the candidate’s level of experience
