Job Description

Fully remote Data Engineer role in Nashville, TN (remote) with a salary range of USD 120,000–130,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the data warehouse to ensure reliable access to trusted data.
  • Design, construct, and continuously refine data pipelines that move and transform data efficiently across multiple platforms.
  • Build engineering solutions using Python, Apache Spark, and Databricks to support large-scale processing and analytics workloads.
  • Create and maintain SQL structures and workflows to improve data quality, accessibility, and consistency.
  • Apply data modeling principles to organize datasets for reporting, analysis, and downstream applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture integration requirements and deliver scalable data solutions aligned with business priorities.
  • Support cloud based data movement and orchestration, including Azure Data Factory initiatives when needed.
  • Prepare well-structured datasets to enable reporting and visualization in Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Demonstrate a strong background in SQL and data warehouse support, including writing and tuning complex queries.
  • Acquire hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Azure Databricks for distributed data processing.
  • Show understanding of data modeling concepts and the ability to structure datasets for analytical use.
  • Maintain familiarity with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Operate effectively within Azure based data ecosystems with Microsoft SQL technologies.
  • C# exposure is a plus but not required.

Requirements

  • Extensive data engineering experience with substantial hands-on Python in production environments.
  • Proven SQL and data warehouse support background, including crafting and optimizing complex queries.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Azure Databricks for distributed processing.
  • Solid knowledge of data modeling concepts and the ability to shape datasets for analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data integration tools, including exposure to Azure Data Factory.
  • Working knowledge of visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL technologies and comfort operating in Azure based data ecosystems.
  • C# exposure is a plus but not required.
