Job Description

Data Engineer role in Huntsville, AL (onsite) at Chronos Operations, LLC, focused on building data pipelines, integrating sources for dashboards and analytics, and ensuring data security through testing, implementation, design, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate collection, normalization, and standard analysis of data assets across diverse projects and platforms with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design, maintain, evaluate, and test data solutions to meet organizational needs.
  • Define and enforce plans and practices that protect, deliver, and enhance the value and integrity of data assets and programs.
  • Collect, store, process, and analyze raw or complex data from multiple sources; propose data applications, design optimal solutions, and build processing systems using data warehousing and modern database technologies.
  • Investigate data quality issues, perform root-cause analyses, remediate errors, and develop prototypes and process-improvement plans across programs, including proofs of concept.
  • Transform unstructured data into analysis-ready formats and conduct subsequent analysis.
  • Integrate innovations and algorithms into the organization’s data systems in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Lead complex data projects that collect, parse, manage, analyze, and visualize large data sets to generate actionable insights across platforms.
  • Establish and enforce data security protocols to safeguard all data used by the organization.
  • Ensure day-to-day governance by upholding policy, processes, and procedures related to data management.
  • Support data needs for operational activities and assist in data collection efforts.
  • Apply data analysis, problem solving, and creative thinking to large data volumes while maintaining source code control.
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion and transformation workflows within Vantage and Gabriel Nimbus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, IT, or business-related programs.
  • At least 4 years of experience building data pipelines, data transformation, and integrating sources for dashboards, AI/ML, analytics, and compliance reporting.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS with SCI eligibility.
  • Successful completion of background and drug screening.
