Job Description

Chronos Operations, LLC offers an onsite role at Redstone Arsenal, AL where you can apply your data engineering skills to deliver reliable data pipelines that support dashboards, analytics, and compliance reporting. You will work to strengthen data security through testing, implementation, design, and monitoring, while contributing to day-to-day data management that protects the value and integrity of information assets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate with internal or external parties to support the collection, compilation, normalization, and standard analysis of data assets across diverse projects and data platforms.
  • Develop, maintain, evaluate, and test data solutions that serve organizational needs.
  • Create and execute plans, policies, and practices that control, protect, deliver, and enhance data and information assets.
  • Collect, store, process, and analyze raw and complex data from multiple sources; recommend data applications; choose and design data solutions using expertise in data warehousing and current database technologies.
  • Investigate data quality issues, analyze root causes, correct errors, and develop prototypes, process improvement plans, and proof of concepts for selected solutions.
  • Process unstructured data into analysis-ready formats, then conduct analysis.
  • Integrate innovations and algorithms into organizational data systems in close collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Implement complex data projects focused on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets to produce insights across multiple platforms.
  • Establish and maintain security protocols to protect collected and used data.
  • Ensure compliance of policies, processes, and procedures in day-to-day management.
  • Support data needs and collection for operational requirements across programs.
  • Perform data analysis, problem solving, and investigation with strong creative thinking on massive datasets across varied operational scenarios, including responsibility for source code control.
  • Create and maintain data ingestion and transformations within Vantage and Gabriel Nimbus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or business-related programs required.
  • 4+ years of experience building data pipelines, data transformation, and integrating sources for dashboards, AI/ML, analytics, and compliance reporting.
  • Must have Real ID prior to start.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS with SCI eligibility.
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience supporting DoD or federal programs (highly desirable).
  • Data analytic or engineering certifications.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Vantage or Gabriel Nimbus.
  • Experience utilizing logs, scans, and sensor data.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM are desired.
  • Baseline and Full Computing Environment certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M (Security+ certification) desired.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with Python and SQL required.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, including migrating customers/projects to the cloud.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases and APIs for data sources.
  • Experience transforming JSON and working across cloud infrastructure environments.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and continuous integration and development.
  • Experience with relational databases, query tools, and/or BI tools such as Power BI or Business Objects (BO).
  • Ability to extract, transform, and structure data for exploratory analytics and operational reporting.
  • Ability to use data visualization tools to help users understand data, ask better questions, and take action.
  • Strong data management, engineering, and science expertise.
  • Time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, supporting collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
