Data Engineer

PeopleTec, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to support its Huntsville, AL location. This role is onsite and focuses on building and improving data pipelines and performance for data-driven systems in a DoD environment. The position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility to perform the work.

Position summary

PeopleTec, Inc. is hiring for an onsite Data Engineering role in Huntsville, Alabama. Candidates must be able to maintain an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility throughout employment, including having that clearance in place upon hire.

Minimum qualifications

• Minimum experience: 2+ years
• Education: BS or B.A. Degree
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Security: Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required

Experience levels

• Junior: 2-5 years
• Mid: 5-8 years
• Senior: 8-10 years
• SME: 10-12+ years

Core requirements

• Programming experience with Python, Java, or Scala and AWS
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Knowledge of statistical techniques used to evaluate ML model performance
• Experience using git and GitLab for CI/CD
• Experience with Perl and PL/SQL
• Familiarity with Postgres and Informatica is a plus
• Experience with ETL, Spark, NiFi, Linux, and data pipelines across development, optimization, and tuning
