Job Description

Jennmar is seeking a Data Engineer to support its reporting and analytics environment by designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines. This role focuses on loading and validating data from Ross and D365 F&O into a data warehouse, enabling downstream Power BI reporting. You will also work closely with the BI team to strengthen pipeline performance, reliability, and data quality.

What you’ll do

  • Design, build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines that support reporting and analytics.
  • Extract, transform, and load data from Ross, D365 Finance & Operations, and other source systems into the data warehouse.
  • Ensure data is accurate, timely, reliable, and well-structured for downstream reporting.
  • Write, optimize, and tune complex SQL queries and processes.
  • Monitor ETL jobs and troubleshoot pipeline failures to restore successful data flow.
  • Implement data validation, error handling, and logging to maintain data quality.
  • Document data flows, transformation logic, and integration processes.
  • Support data warehouse architecture and dimensional modeling.
  • Collaborate with the BI team to support Power BI reporting and analytics needs.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer, or in a similar data engineering role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL development and tuning.
  • Oracle database experience.
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing principles, and data integration best practices.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot data discrepancies and diagnose pipeline failures.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with WhereScape RED or TimeXtender.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, and Dataverse.
  • Experience with D365 Finance & Operations.
  • DBA experience.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling, SSIS, and Power BI.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Location and schedule

This is an onsite, full-time role based in Pittsburgh, PA at PITCORP, with two remote days per month after the initial ramp period.
