Job Description

The Data Engineer- Analytics role will build and mature the Company’s Data Services so internal business units can securely and efficiently use data. The position focuses on analysis and reporting in a cloud-based environment, emphasizing data storytelling, actionable insights, and analytics modernization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Leaders, Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand analysis needs, define data requirements, and develop solutions that accommodate scalable volumes of data.
  • Support strategic data and analytics initiatives that enable business leaders to use data through a curated self-service approach for impactful insights across key business areas.
  • Integrate and deliver data-driven insights and analysis from multiple sources to support decisions aligned to functional areas or across product, program, customer, and risk domains.
  • Create analysis frameworks that support agile, quick insights while maintaining insight quality and informing strategy.
  • Partner across operational and support functions to deliver scalable data-based solutions that improve key metrics and OKRs.
  • Work with business leaders to interpret market drivers, OKRs, and products so insights are comprehensible to other teams.
  • Apply experience with trend analysis and reviews, draft executive outlines, and recommend strategic changes to non-technical leadership based on data insights.
  • Apply understanding and experience in Statistical Modeling, Natural Language Processing, GenAI, and AIML modeling.
  • Implement automated data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy at scale.
  • Design, build, and maintain reporting packages that draw from multiple sources via the data warehouse and analytics marts, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of reporting and analysis system performance and optimize as data volumes increase.
  • Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and reliability across multiple environments, including the warehouse, data marts, and reporting.
  • Use Power BI to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues, identify root causes, and implement timely resolutions to minimize business impact.
  • Create and maintain design documents and documentation for reporting pipelines, semantic models, and related processes.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in reporting and data analysis, recommending and implementing improvements to support scalability and growth.
  • Work closely with business units and leaders to identify and interpret data needs and propose innovative ways to consume and analyze data.
  • Create reusable templates, including Power BI semantic models, to help other data services and IT personnel in their reporting efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar reporting role, with a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and statistics.
  • Proven experience focused on data storytelling, report development, and in-depth data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of data reporting models and communication.
  • Proficiency in Power BI or similar reporting tools, SQL, and experience working with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools, including Snowflake or Microsoft Synapse.
  • Experience with data modeling, semantic model design, and optimization techniques for scalability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a focus on continuous learning and professional development.
