Data Engineer II, Intl. Seller Services

The Data Engineer II will design and build the next generation of Data and ML infrastructure for GenAI applications within Amazon's International Seller Services, collaborating with Applied Scientists, Data Scientists, and Economists to turn research into scalable data products. This onsite role in Seattle, WA offers a salary range of USD 132,100 - 178,800 per year.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and drive data engineering initiatives, delivering end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost effective.
• Work with large datasets and oversee data organization and curation for analytics, maintaining a strategic, long term view on architecting advanced data ecosystems.
• Build efficient and scalable data services and integrate data systems with AWS tools and services to support diverse customer use cases and applications.
• Design, implement, and operate large scale, high volume, high performance data structures for analytics and data science.
• Develop data ingestion routines using best practices in data modeling and ETL/ELT processes, leveraging AWS technologies and big data tools.
• Gather business and functional requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, operable solutions with a flexible data architecture.
• Collaborate with engineers to adopt best practices in data system creation, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing data solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• 1+ years developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics, including ETL/ELT processes, OLAP technologies, data modeling, SQL, and Oracle.
• 3+ years of non internship data engineering experience.
