Data Engineer III (Secret Clearance Required)

Deloitte seeks a Data Engineer III to join the AI and Data team in Arlington, VA. The role centers on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows that enable analytics, reporting, and operational activities across cloud and enterprise data environments. A security clearance is required for this position.

USD 107,700 - 179,500 per year

Responsibilities

• Architect and sustain data pipelines and workflows that enable analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
• Develop, test, and deploy data engineering solutions across cloud and on‑premises data environments.
• Transform, validate, and integrate structured and unstructured data from diverse source systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement scalable data models, data quality controls, and processing frameworks.
• Support client delivery by documenting technical solutions, addressing defects, and driving ongoing improvements of data platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or artificial intelligence development.
• 3+ years of experience architecting and deploying data pipelines, artificial intelligence agents, or machine learning models into production environments.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with PowerBI, Power Apps, or Power Automate.
• 1+ year of experience designing end-to-end artificial intelligence solutions, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and cloud-based integration.
• 1+ year of experience supporting BI, analytics, or technology programs in a mission‑driven environment.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques including classification, clustering, regression, and anomaly detection.
• Active Top Secret level security clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
• Must be able to commute onsite 100% into Arlington/Rosslyn/DC.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
