Job Description
Intone Networks is seeking a Data Engineer who specializes in Power BI development and data modeling. This remote role centers on building and refining Power BI reports and data models to empower data-driven decisions, with emphasis on performance tuning and row-level security. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust analytical solutions, delivering value through scalable BI solutions from a remote setup.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Build and optimize complex data models using star/snowflake schema.
- Develop efficient DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query (M) transformations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
- Optimize report performance and implement row-level security (RLS).
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in Power BI development and data modeling.
- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query (M), and Data Modeling.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling (Star Schema/Snowflake Schema).
- Experience in performance tuning, report optimization, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
