Job Description
Location: New York, NY on-site. Compensation: USD 147,000 - 208,000 per year. This role invites you to collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to shape growth, strategy, and user experiences for Meta’s apps. You will design scalable data solutions, guide data architecture, and deliver insights that inform product development for billions of users and businesses worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Own and design the data architecture for multiple large-scale initiatives, weighing design choices against cost and operational tradeoffs
- Develop and contribute to frameworks that improve logging data, collaborating with data infrastructure to triage and resolve issues
- Partner with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to identify data needs and represent key insights in meaningful ways
- Define and oversee service level agreements for data sets within your areas of ownership
- Establish and implement privacy-based security models, ensure safeguards are followed, address data quality concerns, and evolve governance processes
- Design and deploy advanced data models and visualizations to support multiple use cases across different products and domains
- Tackle complex data integration challenges using effective ETL patterns, frameworks, and query techniques across structured and unstructured sources
- Support production processes and optimize code using advanced algorithmic approaches
- Improve pipelines, dashboards, and frameworks to streamline the development of data artifacts
- Influence product and cross-functional teams to uncover data opportunities that drive impact
- Mentor teammates through actionable feedback and collaborative growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of data-focused experience in roles such as data analyst, data scientist, data engineer, or similar
- 4+ years of experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language (for example Python, C++, C#, Scala)
