Job Description

The Data Engineer with Public Trust at Deloitte will design and modernize data pipelines and integrations across on premise, hybrid, and multi cloud environments. This role delivers tested and documented capabilities intended for transition to an Operations & Maintenance provider as part of a large government focused program.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a large technology services program by delivering engineering and technical services aligned with the client's IT strategic objectives.
  • Provide architecture, project management, system design, integration, testing, user training, implementation support, and a transition plan to an Operations & Maintenance provider.
  • Support a program that encompasses engineering, integration, testing, implementation, and transition services.
  • Design and modernize data pipelines and integrations to streamline processing and enhance cost efficiency, aligning with the client's data operations priorities.
  • Engineer solutions across on premises, hybrid, and multi cloud environments and deliver tested, documented capabilities prepared for transition to the O&M provider.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
  • 3+ years of experience engineering and implementing data and analytics components as part of enterprise IT domain engineering (plan, design, integrate, test, implement, transition)
  • 3+ years building and maintaining data integration patterns across on premise, hybrid, and multi cloud architectures, including secure interoperability interfaces
  • 3+ years supporting capability development and verification and validation in lab and pre production environments (eg cloud dev/stage, test environments)
  • 3+ years performing engineering analysis to improve reliability, performance, and scale; providing tuning and configuration recommendations for O&M execution
  • 3+ years producing transition artifacts for O&M, including configuration items, diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and runbooks; supporting Operational Readiness Review readiness
  • 3+ years collaborating with cybersecurity engineering to ensure solutions align with client security policies and standards and support vulnerability remediation evidence as required
  • 3+ years contributing to data preparation and integration via secure interfaces and test and evaluation against defined baselines
