Data Scientist

Procter & Gamble is hiring a Data Scientist to help design and implement scalable data science algorithms that can reshape how business is done. Based in Cincinnati, OH, this onsite role combines algorithm research with practical production work, including applications across operations research and machine learning, such as generative and agentic AI.

In collaboration with Data and AI Engineering teams, you will take models and workflows from exploration to production in cloud environments, while applying deep technical expertise across the full analytics lifecycle.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to the design and development of scalable Data Science algorithms.
• Partner with Data and Software Engineering teams to productionize algorithms.
• Use technical knowledge on large datasets to perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model building.
• Serve as a technical coach, sharing expertise and insights with others.
• Become a recognized expert in one or more Data Science techniques and methodologies.

What you bring

• Pursuing or having completed a Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Analytics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Python, and familiarity with common data science and machine learning libraries including OpenCV, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, and Pandas.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and test code in cloud environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence others to take action.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience applying analytic methodologies such as Machine Learning, Optimization, Simulation, and Generative and Agentic AI to real-world problems.
• Commitment to lifelong learning, staying current on technology trends, and willingness to teach others while learning.
• Experience working with large datasets and developing in cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.
• Familiarity with DevOps environments, including Git and CI/CD practices.
