Data Scientist
Job Description
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a client-facing Data Scientist to design and deliver predictive models and machine learning algorithms using both structured and unstructured data. This role operates in an Agile setting and includes advising clients on how to interpret and apply predictions to support mission success.
Location and Work Model
Camp Lejeune, NC (onsite)
Work will primarily be performed full-time at a customer facility, with collaboration alongside colleagues and customers as required by the role.
Compensation
Projected compensation range: $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of predictive models for clients.
- Partner with clients to understand their questions and challenges, then architect data-driven solutions within their data-rich environments.
- Build models to predict future outcomes.
- Advise clients on what predictions mean and how they can be used to proactively shape mission success.
- Work with and guide a small team of analysts, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience designing, building, or maintaining cloud data environments such as Azure and AWS.
- Experience leading or mentoring technical teams of data analysts, engineers, or developers.
- Experience with data visualization techniques and tools, including Power BI, Tableau, or Microsoft Fabric, and Spark or PySpark for data analysis.
- Experience with structured data using tools such as SQL, R, or Python, along with data visualization software and statistical analysis.
- Experience transforming data patterns into predictive insights and deploying data-driven solutions.
- Experience with data validation, feature engineering, and preparing complex data sets for machine learning.
- Experience building and automating data pipelines and workflows.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques, including regression, classification, and clustering.
- Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing custom data-driven applications or user interfaces for data input and visualization.
- Experience with DoD data platforms, including Advana, MCS-COP Foundry, ADE, or similar systems.
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Experience working on real-time data and streaming applications.
- Knowledge of USMC Marine Expeditionary Force mission and structure.
- Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of IoT and sensor data into usable formats.
- Ability to communicate technical information and recommendations to peers, engineers, and analytic customers.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Master’s degree.
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) Certification.
