Role Summary
This Data Scientist position at Apple centers on working with large volumes of data, improving reporting and dashboard infrastructure, and analyzing metrics to explain volatility and inform business needs.
Responsibilities
- Work with large volumes of data, extracting and manipulating large datasets using Spark SQL.
- Design and build front-end reports using a variety of reporting tools.
- Test and implement improvements to reporting tool infrastructure, including migrations.
- Compile packaged report summaries for customers, focusing on volatility in metrics and partnering with peers to provide explanations.
- Collaborate with other Data Analysts to understand reporting needs and help implement scalable salutations.
Requirements
- Use SQL to manipulate large datasets.
- Create and maintain dashboards using Tableau.
- Design metrics aligned with business objectives.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify causes of metric shifts.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to address business questions.
- Optimize existing workflows through process improvement.
- Maintain and enhance automated reporting pipelines.
Education
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
