Job Description

Comcast Corporation offers a competitive compensation package for the Data Scientist 2 role, with a yearly salary range of $75,190 to $156,647, plus commission, bonus, and best-in-class benefits. This position is based in Philadelphia, PA with remote work options. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply statistical, machine learning, and optimization techniques to well-defined business problems, delivering data-driven insights and scalable analytical solutions while expanding technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to scope data analysis challenges and design experiments.
  • Develop software solutions and algorithms for data cleansing, integration, and analysis.
  • Apply advanced statistics and machine learning to extract actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Build statistical and mathematical models to address complex business challenges.
  • Create data mining frameworks and perform trend analyses to inform strategic decisions.
  • Examine complex datasets to uncover historical patterns in customer and product behavior.
  • Develop predictive models to forecast customer actions and support business planning.
  • Synthesize data science findings to inform and optimize business processes.
  • Present findings and recommendations through clear, actionable deliverables.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance and be available for nights, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
  • Contribute to additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL; Spark/PySpark experience is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, tree-based models, deep learning) and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, MLOps, or Generative AI concepts is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
