Data Scientist 4
Job Description
RealmOne is hiring a Level 4 Data Scientist to support intelligence-driven cybersecurity objectives with advanced analytics and AI-enabled workflows.
Responsibilities
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) on large, complex datasets to surface critical insights and respond to RFIs.
- Build and integrate AI-enabled workflows and automated data-processing solutions to modernize the analytic lifecycle and reduce reliance on legacy processes.
- Translate findings across technical documentation and collaborative forums, connecting complex analytics with decision-makers.
- Convert mission needs and analytic questions for large datasets into technical requirements.
- Support others in drawing appropriate conclusions from large-dataset analyses.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Foundations: Mathematical, Computational, Statistical.
- Data Processing: Data management and curation; data description and visualization; workflow and reproducibility.
- Modeling, Inference, and Prediction: Data modeling and assessment; domain-specific considerations.
- Make and communicate principal conclusions from data using mathematics, statistics, computer science, and application-specific knowledge.
- Use analytic modeling, statistical analysis, programming, and/or another appropriate scientific method.
- Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods to characterize, explore, and assess large datasets across differing states of organization, cleanliness, and structure, accounting for features and limitations in Government data holdings.
- Ability to translate practical mission needs and analytics questions for large datasets into technical requirements.
- Python and PySpark proficiency (R, SQL, and Scala are advantageous).
- AI/ML experience with frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-Learn.
- Architectural familiarity with RAG, prompt engineering, or LoRa workflows.
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Hugging Face Transformers is beneficial.
- Knowledge of vector databases and data-visualization platforms such as Tableau, Seaborn, Matplotlib, and Plotly.
- Any DevOps experience (Git, Docker, Kubernetes, or Jupyter Notebooks) will be considered a plus.

- Degree requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics Statistics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, or Computer Science (or a related field such as Computer Information Systems or Engineering). Related physical/hard sciences (e.g., physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy) or other science disciplines with a substantial computational component may be considered if included coursework concentration is present.
- A broader range of degrees may be considered if accompanied by a Certificate in Data Science from an accredited college or university.
- Relevant experience areas: designing/implementing machine learning and advanced analytical algorithms; programming (at least one high-level language such as Python); statistical analysis (variability, sampling error, inference, hypothesis testing, EDA, linear models); data management (cleaning and transformation); data mining; data modeling and assessment; artificial intelligence; and/or software engineering.
