Data Scientist II, Client Analysis
Job Description
Socure is hiring a Data Scientist II for its Data Science, Client Analysis team, working remotely across the USA.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale customer data to generate actionable insights
- Explain model performance and describe how Socure can help customers build optimal risk management policies
- Serve as a Data Science advocate by understanding Socure solutions (products, models, and algorithms) and customers’ risk challenges
- Create data stories that demonstrate how Socure can help customers eliminate identity fraud, streamline the end-user experience, and support risk management holistically
- Provide thought leadership and act as the customer voice in building the next generation of Socure’s core models and product
- Build tools and automated workflows to improve analysis speed, accuracy, and reproducibility
- Partner with GTM teams (Sales, Solution Consultants, Account Managers, and Technical Account Managers) to develop analysis approaches and identify upsell opportunities and product optimizations
- Build ML models when exploring alternative approaches versus production-established models is advantageous
Requirements
- Degree in a quantitative field, or equivalent work experience (advanced degree preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in data science, data analysis, or analytics engineering
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of state-of-the-art supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods
- Clean, performant Python coding experience, plus 2+ years working with massive real-life datasets
- Experience querying relational databases using SQL
- Experience with cloud tools and technologies such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, or GCP
- Ability to communicate insights through data storytelling (dashboarding, interactive data stories, actionable presentations)
- Experience explaining complex algorithms and analyses (ML/AI models) to non-technical audiences
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable delivering presentations with clear, complete messages
- Thrives in a remote startup environment with a focus on setting goals and accountability
- Experience in identity verification and fraud prevention (strongly preferred)

Compensation
- USD 150,000 - 185,000 per year
