Job Description
At Booz Allen Hamilton, the Data Scientist, Mid role centers on turning client data into actionable insights through close collaboration and rigorous analysis. This onsite position in Arlington, VA invites you to work with customers to clarify their questions, dive into data-rich environments, and apply a thoughtful mix of analytical methods to yield objective answers that inform decisions. A bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and at least two years of data science experience are required, with a Secret clearance expected for the role.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to data science informed advisory work that benefits clients
- Collaborate directly with customers to understand their questions and needs
- Investigate the client’s data-rich environment to identify critical information
- Apply the appropriate combination of analytical techniques and tools to transform disparate data points into objective insights that support informed decisions
- Provide clients with a clear understanding of their data, its implications, and practical ways to leverage it
Requirements
- 2+ years of data science experience in a professional setting
- Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms in academic or internship contexts
- Proven experience in data gathering, analysis, and problem solving
- Proficiency in an object-oriented language such as Java, C++, C#, or Python
- Knowledge of SQL
- Secret clearance

Clearance
Applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A Secret clearance is required for this role.
Compensation
- Salary range: USD 77,600 to 176,000 per year, with final compensation determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, experience, contract affordability, and organizational requirements
- The posted range reflects typical pay for this position and is part of Booz Allen’s total compensation package
- The posting will close within 90 days of the posting date
