Job Description
Verizon is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to lead agentic AI, large language model, and machine learning initiatives that support propensity modeling. This role focuses on end-to-end model development, consolidation of propensity signals into a unified customer state, and ongoing optimization to improve customer journeys and reduce churn.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of agentic AI, LLM, and machine learning or deep learning solutions.
- Build, train, and deploy high-priority propensity models to predict customer behaviors, churn risk, and key lifecycle triggers.
- Consolidate overlapping propensity models into shared customer state representations and unified models to reduce operational and development cost.
- Operate independently to manage end-to-end model development pipelines, covering advanced feature engineering through production deployment and monitoring.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in agentic development, machine learning, and predictive modeling, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists.
- Own the full lifecycle of models deployed in high-impact areas, ensuring continuous optimization, maintained accuracy, and measurable business performance.
