Gen AI Engineer

NorthernBase Technologies is seeking a Gen AI Engineer to build AI-enabled workflows and help deploy and maintain AI models across environments, including Production. This onsite role is based in Irving, TX and offers a salary range of USD 100,000 to 130,000 per year. The position is geared toward experienced engineers with 8–15 years of relevant background.

What you will focus on

• AI workflow development for real-world applications
• Prompt engineering to support reliable Generative AI performance
• Deployment and maintenance of AI models across all environments, including Production
• Code review, testing, and documentation to support quality and maintainability
• Continuous learning in Generative AI related fields

Key skills and experience

• Strong, hands-on Python knowledge
• Hands-on experience developing API services in Python using FastAPI and/or Flask
• Working experience in data processing and AI-enabled workflows using Python
• Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architecture, and agentic AI
• Basic knowledge of hybrid prompting techniques
• Experience with Generative AI tooling such as LangChain, Hugging Face, and Llama Index
