Generative AI Engineer III - Federal Health
Job Description
Join Deloitte's Government & Public Services GPS practice to contribute to federal health AI initiatives from an on-site role in Arlington, VA. Compensation ranges from USD 110,700 to USD 218,300 per year, reflecting your experience and impact. This position is based on-site in Arlington, offering opportunities to work closely with clients and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technical outcomes.
The Team
As part of Deloitte's GPS organization, you will join a team focused on delivering outcomes for federal, state, and local government clients as well as public higher education institutions. The AI and Data offering provides a full spectrum of solutions for designing, developing, and operating cutting-edge data and AI capabilities that empower clients to meet their missions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy machine learning and AI solutions tailored to business and client use cases
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, model training workflows, and production-grade components that support AI-enabled products
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, generate insights, and support model development and validation
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product stakeholders, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Monitor model and application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve accuracy, reliability, and scalability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a quantitative field
- 5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, deploying, or supporting machine learning, artificial intelligence, or advanced analytics solutions
- 3+ years of programming experience in Python, PySpark, PyTorch, and TensorFlow
- 1+ years of technology consulting experience in the Federal Health space
- Active certification in Python, PySpark, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
- Ability to travel 20% on average based on the work and client engagements
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience using containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
- 1+ years of experience supporting model monitoring, governance, or ML operations processes
