Healthcare Data Scientist
Job Description
Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Healthcare Data Scientist to plan, execute, and deliver machine learning projects that translate into measurable business impact. This onsite role in Camden, NJ focuses on working with large datasets, building AI/ML and optimization solutions, and turning analysis into decisions that support day-to-day operations.
In this position, you will partner closely with business and operational leaders to move from model development to practical, actionable insights. You will also provide analytics support for senior leadership and help reinforce a broader culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
What you’ll do
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop AI, ML, and optimization models that support organizational goals
- Translate findings into actionable insights for stakeholders
- Partner with business and operational leaders to align analytics work with real-world needs
- Support senior leadership with analytics and decision support
- Contribute to fostering a data-driven decision-making culture across the organization
Minimum qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Master’s Degree (or higher education as listed below)
- Relevant certifications in data science/AI, such as:
- Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer
- AWS Certified Machine Learning
Education requirements
- Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field
Location: Camden, NJ (onsite)
Compensation: USD 41 - 70 per hour
Technologies: Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer, AWS Certified Machine Learning
