Integrated Data Analyst
Job Description
The Integrated Data Analyst role supports the IDCAT Team as a subject matter expert for IDCAT analyses and AQP training data. The position focuses on flight safety and training analytics, data quality, and delivering actionable insights to support Flight Operations decision-making and continuous improvement.

USD 81,200 - 90,200 per yearly
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of the monthly FAA reports
- Administer the IDCAT application, including user support and feedback monitoring for Flight Instructors/Evaluators during observation data entry into IDCAT
- Support IDCAT administrative activities such as accounts and new class support
- Download Tableau data to the Southwest Airlines server and update current dashboards
- Analyze, create, and visualize data using Tableau workbooks and dashboards
- Categorize and group instructor/evaluator measured items and comments for analysis
- Support IDCAT observation form design and generate data collection forms within the application
- Conduct daily training data analyses as defined in AC 120-54a, identify gaps in effectiveness in current Flight Ops Training, and support Flight Ops Safety in resolution discussions
- Assist with quarterly data review activities for the Data Integration group (DIG) and AQP, including executing and delivering data requests to support Flight Ops Training (AQP) staff
- Execute IDCAT Inter Rater Reliability data analysis and facilitate IDCAT academic content
- Perform other duties as directed by Employees’ Leaders
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Intermediate analytical capability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Broad knowledge of database management, analysis of large and complex databases, and data visualization (including Tableau and Alteryx)
- Knowledge of integrating qualitative and quantitative datasets
- Intermediate knowledge of statistics and math concepts, with strong research skills
- Knowledge of commercial airline operations and ability to build trust across employee levels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including presentation development and strong writing, speaking, and presentation skills
- Strong partnering, communication, and negotiation skills when working with other teams and departments
- Ability to resolve complex problems and perform job duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to adapt to different situations and adopt new approaches and methodologies to meet business objectives
- Energy, self-motivation, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence
- High School Diploma or GED and a Bachelor’s Degree
- U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to comply with Company attendance standards
- Ability to meet confidentiality expectations for confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
- May require extended work hours per Leader’s request
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting or analyzing data for an FAA-regulated Advanced Qualification Program (AQP)
- Experience analyzing flight training data within an airline, aviation, or flight operations environment
- Experience presenting analytical findings, dashboards, or business insights to senior leadership or executive stakeholders
- Flight training experience, including Private Pilot License (PPL), student pilot training, or equivalent aviation training
- Experience working with aviation safety programs such as ASAP, FOQA, LOSA, or Safety Management Systems (SMS)

Additional Details
- Required to work from Southwest Airlines’ Dallas, TX headquarters facility during business hours
