Job Description

Investment Operations Data Analyst role at Rodgers Brothers, Inc. focuses on managing portfolio and client data, supporting regulatory filings, and delivering analytics for investment operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile portfolio data, including positions and transactions, across multiple internal systems and external partners.
  • Review daily data feeds for accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Investigate data discrepancies, documenting findings and resolving issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with third party data providers, address service issues, and stay informed of product updates.
  • Help ensure client records are accurate across internal and external databases.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of client data management procedures.
  • Assist in preparing data for regulatory filings, ensuring records meet standards.
  • Produce, validate, and distribute internal and client facing reports.
  • Respond to ad hoc report requests from team members.
  • Create and maintain reports that support investment operations.
  • Support firm level analytics.
  • Document methodologies, definitions, and workflows.
  • Contribute to the design and documentation of data entry procedures and operating standards.
  • Participate in firm wide initiatives.
  • Gain expertise in trading, investment operations, technology, compliance, and client service processes across the business.
  • Help evaluate and improve data quality, efficiencies, and workflows.

Requirements

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a process oriented mindset.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize large data sets.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel; experience with Access, SQL, or Python is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in data and operations, preferably at a RIA or finance firm.
  • Accounting or finance background.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management and trading software is a plus.
