Junior Machine Learning Engineer
Job Description
Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis is seeking a Junior Machine Learning Engineer to help transform data from engines, test rigs, and fleet operations into actionable insights. You will join a multidisciplinary team to address AI and ML tasks, software development, and data science challenges that support product performance and maintenance, with a hybrid work arrangement in Indianapolis.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to identify digital-technology opportunities that deliver meaningful impact and value.
- Ingest, clean, and analyze large datasets drawn from engine sensors, test rigs, and fleet operations.
- Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models for tasks such as engineering knowledge retrieval, anomaly investigation, production support, and predictive maintenance.
- Document methods and findings clearly and present results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Physics; or a Master’s degree in one of these fields; or a PhD in one of these fields.
- U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for consideration.
