Lead AI Engineer

Tavant Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead AI Engineer (remote in Santa Clara, CA) to design, build, and deploy AI capabilities that improve product performance and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI models and algorithms to address complex business problems.
• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to gather, preprocess, and prepare data for model training.
• Test and validate AI models to support optimal performance and reliability.
• Research and stay current with AI trends and emerging technologies to improve offerings over time.
• Document model and process work and maintain clear communication with team members and management.
• Develop and implement AI solutions focused on enhancing product performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify where AI integration can apply across projects.
• Apply machine learning algorithms and data analytics to support decision-making processes.
• Define AI initiative project scopes and align with stakeholders on requirements.
• Drive work that improves operational efficiency through AI model design and deployment.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills, including Python and Typescript, plus familiarity with Amazon Build Tool (ABT).
• Knowledge of deep learning techniques and natural language processing (NLP).
• Experience with AWS and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Experience using AI frameworks and libraries.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field, with foundation in machine learning and statistical analysis.
• Proven experience in a similar AI engineering role or relevant projects.
