Overview

The Lead Data Engineer owns the design, implementation, and evolution of FG's data integration ecosystem with external partners and service providers, in a hybrid remote role based in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Responsibilities

Architect and oversee end-to-end data integration designs and implementations
Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load external data into Azure SQL
Define data modeling standards, schemas, and data contracts for external data domains, and enforce them
Implement data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency
Leverage machine learning and advanced methods to enhance data cleansing, matching, and enrichment
Establish and promote best practices, coding standards, and review processes for data engineering work

Requirements

7+ years of data architecture and engineering experience
Strong experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines in an Azure-centric environment
2+ years of senior or leadership experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
