Lead Data Engineer
Job Description
Lead Data Engineer to own the design, implementation, and evolution of Fiberutilities Group's data integration ecosystem with external partners, in a hybrid role centered on Azure-based ETL/ELT pipelines and data quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of data integrations, from architecture to implementation, with external partners
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load external data into Azure SQL
- Define data modeling standards, establish schemas, and create data contracts for external data domains
- Implement data quality programs and frameworks to monitor and improve data reliability
- Leverage machine learning and advanced techniques to enhance data cleansing, matching, and enrichment
- Institutionalize coding standards, development best practices, and peer review processes for data engineering work
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering
- Strong track record designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines in an Azure-centric environment
- 2+ years in a senior or lead capacity
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
