Senior Data Engineer
Job Description
This role supports Netsmart Technologies by designing and leading complex data engineering solutions, including pipelines and integration strategies that enable advanced analytics and scalable enterprise data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize complex data pipelines using advanced SQL, ETL tools, and integration technologies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that support advanced analytics and data science initiatives.
- Drive process improvements through automation, optimized data delivery, and infrastructure redesign to improve scalability.
- Assess and recommend emerging data technologies to develop comprehensive data integration strategies.
- Lead technical discovery efforts by defining complex requirements and mapping out detailed scenarios.
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages (for example, Python, Java, Scala) and expert-level SQL knowledge.
- Extensive experience with big data technologies, including the Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, and Kafka, as well as cloud-based environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data warehousing solutions.
- Deep understanding of data modeling techniques and enterprise-grade ETL tools.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex analytical problems.
