Overview

The Lead Data Engineer owns the design, implementation, and evolution of FG's data integration ecosystem with external partners and service providers, in a hybrid remote role based in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee end-to-end data integration designs and implementations
• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load external data into Azure SQL
• Define data modeling standards, schemas, and data contracts for external data domains, and enforce them
• Implement data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Leverage machine learning and advanced methods to enhance data cleansing, matching, and enrichment
• Establish and promote best practices, coding standards, and review processes for data engineering work

Requirements

• 7+ years of data architecture and engineering experience
• Strong experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines in an Azure-centric environment
• 2+ years of senior or leadership experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
