Job Description
Amazon.com Services LLC invites a Machine Learning Engineer to join its AWS Applied AI Solutions team. The role centers on turning research into production-ready ML and Generative AI systems, taking ownership of end-to-end deployment, and collaborating with scientists and engineers to deliver scalable, impactful solutions.

Compensation
USD 143,700 - 194,400 per year
Responsibilities
- Partner with Applied Scientists and cross-functional engineers to translate research code into robust, scalable production systems
- Own end-to-end deployment of Generative AI and ML methods at scale, ensuring reliability and performance
- Build scalable, efficient automated processes for large-scale data analysis, model development, validation, and serving
- Explore and apply innovative approaches for efficient model deployment, training, and optimization
- Document processes and methods for technical and non-technical audiences to enable knowledge transfer and establish best practices
- Contribute to code reviews and uphold high engineering standards across the team
- Mentor junior ML Engineers and participate in recruiting top talent to grow the team
- Present outcomes and explain technical approaches to senior leadership, translating complex concepts into business impact
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
