Job Description

As a Machine Learning Engineer on the SPB Search Relevance team within Amazon Ads, you will design scalable services, build data pipelines for ML and large language models, and provide technical leadership to enhance advertising relevance. This on-site role is based in Palo Alto, CA, with a salary range of USD 165,200 to 223,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Design and scale services to support the advertising infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to build data pipelines capable of processing massive datasets and scaling ML and LLM workloads.
  • Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to ensure solutions deliver measurable improvements in customer perceived relevance.
  • Rapidly assimilate new technologies and algorithms in the field of Generative AI.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full-time software development experience (non-internship).
  • 3+ years of computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred).
