Machine Learning Engineer

This onsite role in San Jose supports the Dedup team within the Core Feed, focusing on video deduplication, copyright detection, and content safety. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will build models, data pipelines, and deployment infrastructure for real time, unstructured data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale the Dedup and Copyright detection systems that serve billions of users globally.
• Design and deploy machine learning models for video understanding and content integrity.
• Incorporate cutting edge AI techniques to boost model accuracy, performance, and system efficiency.
• Build scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support training and serving of ML models on real time, unstructured data.
• Run experiments to evaluate and debug models in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of ML systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of industry experience in machine learning.
• Proficiency with at least one deep learning framework, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience in multimedia or computer vision areas such as image/video/audio retrieval, representation learning, re identification, or unsupervised/self supervised learning.

About the team

The Dedup team conducts research and builds advanced AI technologies that power core product experiences. We focus on large scale, high performance systems that support video deduplication, originality recognition, copyright detection, content safety, and content moderation, with the aim of delivering a seamless and safe user experience by advancing AI in production.

Compensation and location

Base salary range for this role is USD 156,000 to 316,800 per year. Location is San Jose, California (onsite). Base pay is part of the total package and may be complemented by discretionary bonuses or restricted stock units. Benefits are available from day one and can vary by location.
