Machine Learning Engineer - Agentic AI
Job Description
In this role, you will design and build production-grade agentic systems that use large language models (LLMs) alongside tools and data to carry out multi-step workflows. You will focus on system design decisions, measurement, and continuous iteration with cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end agentic workflows by combining models, tools, and data to execute multi-step tasks, including planning behaviors, tool use, structured outputs, and failure handling.
- Develop infrastructure to evaluate and improve agentic system performance across quality, reliability, and cost, and implement monitoring and observability to understand production behavior.
- Integrate LLMs with internal and external tools so agentic systems can retrieve context, call APIs, and perform actions as part of complete workflows.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to convert product requirements into scalable agentic systems, improving performance through ongoing evaluation and iteration.
Key Focus Areas
Design and implement agentic systems that extend beyond traditional machine learning pipelines. You will make tradeoffs across latency, cost, accuracy, and controllability, including choices between deterministic pipelines and adaptive, LLM-driven approaches.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of a bachelors degree.
- Proven knowledge of cutting-edge agentic systems.
- Demonstrated experience designing and shipping agentic systems in production environments.
- Strong proficiency with LLM-assisted coding, including using AI tools to design, implement, and iterate on complex systems.
- Strong system design experience, including defining and evolving architecture for complex, multi-component systems.
- Experience taking products from concept to launch, including delivering user-facing applications at scale or in real-world environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong system design experience, including defining and evolving architecture for complex, multi-component systems.
- Experience taking products from concept to launch, including delivering user-facing applications at scale or in real-world environments.
