Job Description
Veolia invites applications for the Meter Data Analyst role on site in Hackensack, New Jersey. The position offers a salary range of USD 70,000 to 75,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package. The analyst will apply data mining, statistical methods, and modeling techniques to diverse datasets daily, collaborating with Metering, Systems Maintenance, and Production teams, then partnering with Finance to develop corrective solutions and report findings to a broad set of stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Analyze customer account datasets to identify patterns and trends that support diagnosis and prediction of consumption, asset failure, and maintenance needs
- Source, group, cleanse, and validate data to ensure consistency and produce actionable insights
- Create and analyze reports to uncover patterns and trends
- Present findings visually through graphs, charts, and dashboards
- Develop and assist in implementing corrective solutions
- Define new data collection and analysis processes
- Evaluate data quality and meaning through targeted analyses
- Prepare management reports highlighting trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of professional experience with open source technologies
- Experience using statistical packages for data analysis (Excel, Access, etc.)
- Experience with financial database applications (JPE, PS, SAP, etc.)
- Analytical skills to perform critical reviews of mined data
- Strong conceptual and quantitative problem-solving abilities and creative thinking
- Ability to communicate data to diverse audiences visually, verbally, and in writing
- Prepare management reports summarizing trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
- Ability to capture, clean, compare, and analyze data from multiple sources and draw actionable recommendations
- Ability to analyze large, complex datasets
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving orientation
- Accuracy and high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver's License
