PS Data Analyst
Job Description
The PS Data Analyst role at HP uses data analysis expertise to address business challenges and recommend data-driven approaches. The position supports decision-making by working across diverse datasets, and may include team or project leadership for data science efforts.
Responsibilities
- Participate as part of a team of data analysts to investigate, design, develop, execute, and implement data science projects that produce new insights, products, technologies, and intellectual property.
- Create project plans, including data collection and analysis procedures, and develop data insight visualizations for assigned work.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to conduct experiments and validations aligned with the overall project plan.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop procedures for collecting, recording, analyzing, and communicating data for review and feedback.
- Prepare literature and presentations for peer review, publication, and delivery at industry and scientific events and conferences; contribute to patent applications and supporting documentation.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of data analysis methodologies, statistical concepts, and data validation techniques.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau to build dashboards and communicate insights.
- Foundational knowledge of AI, including the ability to use AI-enabled tools to enhance data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making across different organizational levels.
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Minimum experience: 4 years.
