Senior AI/ML Machine Learning Engineer

The role: a Senior AI/ML Machine Learning Engineer joining a cross-functional group to advance AI and machine learning capabilities in space-domain challenges, supporting national security. The position is based onsite in Herndon, VA with a focus on research, data science, software development, physics, and mathematics to tackle complex space-related problems.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced AI and ML tools and techniques to address highly complex space domain challenges in support of national security.
• Collaborate with a diverse team to drive innovation and contribute to solutions that resolve critical space-related problems.
• Participate in a cross-functional team comprising experts in research, data science, software development, physics, and mathematics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics).
• Advanced experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or Image Processing.
• Experience with modern software development tools and practices.
• TS/SCI clearance.

Work Schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate schedules, including standard 40 hours over five days or condensed schedules for additional time away from the office, in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.

9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Compensation

The annual base salary range is USD 108,800 to USD 191,820. This range applies to certain states; salary may vary by final work location. The figure is a general guideline and factors such as location may influence the final offer.
