Job Description

Senior Data Analytics Engineer on Core BTS's Data Analytics Data Platform team, focusing on analyzing, developing, and delivering BI solutions using the Microsoft Analytics stack and collaborating with clients to support decision making and scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates commitment to client success with professionalism, transparency, and trust.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains databases, data pipelines, and data lakes.
  • Transforms and models data, develops reporting and analytics, creates dashboards, and utilizes analytical tools.
  • Understands business problems and processes through direct client conversations, sees the big picture, and translates it into concrete solutions.
  • Collaborates with DADP team members across the full data analytics lifecycle—from requirements gathering to delivery and documenting lessons learned.
  • Addresses conflicts directly, maintains positive intent, and escalates to leadership when needed.
  • Embraces change by adopting new practices, processes, or technologies.
  • Maintains a positive, professional, and confident demeanor in all interactions.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Fabric.
  • Understanding of Agile engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse and lakehouse methodologies, including medallion architecture.
  • Experience with ETL and ELT processes.
  • Data profiling and anomaly detection capabilities.
  • Data modeling expertise (Dimensional / Kimball).
  • Proficiency in SQL and a strong background in relational database platforms.
  • DevOps, CI/CD practices.
  • Growing familiarity and experience with Python.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Interest in ongoing education and certification related to the role.
  • Prior consulting experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation

Salary range: USD 97,000 - 130,000 per year
