Overview

As a senior member of the data engineering team, you will drive the architecture and delivery of scalable data systems that support analytics, reporting, and strategic decision making. The position emphasizes technical leadership and hands on work with SAP data integration within hybrid cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines, models, and ingestion frameworks to enable advanced analytics and machine learning.
  • Build and maintain scalable data infrastructure on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Incorporate SAP data sources into enterprise data platforms for comprehensive reporting and analysis.
  • Maintain data integrity, reliability, and performance across multiple systems and applications.
  • Lead efforts to reduce data redundancy and establish single sources of truth through effective data modeling and integration.
  • Act as the technical lead on cross functional data initiatives, guiding design choices to align with business goals.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Supervise database upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization activities.
  • Develop and enforce standards for data governance, security, and lifecycle management.
  • Mentor junior data engineers and analysts, sharing best practices and technical growth.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to enhance data capabilities.
  • Create training materials and documentation to support team development and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in data engineering, database administration, or related roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases (for example Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB).
  • Strong experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and tools (Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Experience integrating and analyzing data from SAP systems (such as SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP ECC).
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members.

USD 70.00 - 75.00 per hour
