Senior Data Engineer
Job Description
Senior Data Engineer role focused on building and maintaining compliant data systems and pipelines for business needs.
Responsibilities
- Partner with a project team to define and document data and data pipeline requirements across multiple solutions.
- Own the technical delivery of data systems and pipelines to ensure alignment with data standards, architectural standards, and documented requirements.
- Create and keep current state documentation and other deliverables for data solutions.
- Maintain and improve both existing and new data solutions to continue meeting user needs.
- Support operational teams with guidance to maintain continuity of service.
- Participate in the Data Engineering community of practice to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Perform work independently with a high degree of latitude.
- Handle the most complex issues and apply expert subject-matter knowledge.
- Interact effectively and professionally with others across various levels of a global organization.

Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related degree (or experience providing comparable background).
- 8+ years of experience.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and/or MongoDB (preferred).
- Experience building data transformations, data structures, and data pipelines.
- Experience with data integration tools.
- Experience with object-oriented / object function scripting languages.
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
