Job Description
Join CVS Health to build modern data platforms that support AI, ML, and GenAI products. This onsite role in Irving, TX focuses on designing and implementing data workloads on both on-premise and cloud environments, helping teams deliver reliable data foundations such as pipelines, feature stores, and vector stores.
Full-time role with 40 hours per week. The salary range for this position is USD 92,700 - 185,400 per year, with eligibility for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with engineering, analysts, data scientists, and product teams to deliver high-quality, modern data solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Design, integrate, and implement solutions across on-premise systems and support migrations to the cloud
- Build data foundations including pipelines, feature stores, and vector stores that power AI-driven products
- Apply extensive knowledge of modern programming languages to develop data solutions increasingly supporting machine learning and generative AI use cases
Key responsibilities for AI and production data
- Develop data pipelines for ML/AI workloads, including feature engineering, embedding generation, and vector database integration for RAG use cases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector)
- Use MLOps/LLMOps practices such as model versioning and monitoring, and support production ML/AI systems (e.g., Vertex AI, SageMaker, Azure ML)
- Troubleshoot data issues and apply performance improvement techniques to keep pipelines reliable and efficient
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices, with ownership in a team-based support environment
What you bring
- 6+ years of experience working with SQL and relational database management systems
- 3+ years in Cloud Data Engineering Platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake
- Hands-on experience building and deploying Agentic AI solutions in complex cloud infrastructures, including orchestration frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph, plus integration with LLM APIs
- Familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps for model versioning, monitoring, and data pipeline support for production ML/AI
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting data issues and using performance improvement techniques
- Excellent oral and written communication, including translating complex technical/AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with healthcare data and healthcare insurance feeds
- Exposure to prompt engineering, model evaluation frameworks, or AI governance/responsible AI practices in a regulated environment (e.g., healthcare)
